During your session, I will guide you when needed, but I also want you to interact naturally with each other.

After your session, you will receive a private online gallery where you can view your photographs and choose your five included images.

Extended Family Christmas Photos

Want to bring grandparents, cousins, multiple households, or a larger extended family?

We love creating extended family Christmas portraits, but larger groups need a little more time.

Extended families should reserve two back-to-back mini session time slots.

This allows enough time to photograph the full extended family as well as smaller family groups, grandparents with grandchildren, cousins, couples, and other combinations.

What Should We Wear for Christmas Family Photos?

For this Christmas Cottage set, I recommend clothing that complements the setting rather than competes with it.

Beautiful colors for this year's holiday family portraits include:

Cream, ivory, oatmeal, camel, tan, chocolate brown, olive, forest green, champagne, soft gray, charcoal, navy, and muted blue.

I recommend avoiding red, burgundy, and cranberry clothing because the cottage already features a rich red velvet couch. Red clothing may blend into the sofa or compete with the set.

Coordinating clothing usually photographs better than having everyone wear exactly the same thing.

Textures such as knit sweaters, sweater dresses, corduroy, velvet, wool, cardigans, and layered neutrals work especially well for Christmas family photos.
