The Poet Wedding Venue Giveaway Official Rules

Sponsor/Promoter: The Poet, located at 202 St Helens Ave, Tacoma, WA 98402.
Promotion Period: The giveaway begins on July 1 and ends on July 15 at 12AM Pacific Time. Entries received after the deadline will not be eligible.
Eligibility: Open to legal residents of Washington who are 18 years of age or older.
Entrants must be legally able to enter into a venue rental agreement. Employees, owners, contractors, immediate family members, and household members of The Poet, Manuscript, or participating giveaway partners are not eligible to win.
Prize: One winner will receive a complimentary wedding venue rental at The Poet for one available date in late July or in August 2026. Approximate retail value: $1,000 (not including other vendors participating).
Prize includes venue rental for up to 5 hours, use of included tables and chairs for up to 60 seated guests, and access to included venue amenities as outlined by The Poet.
Prize does not include catering, alcohol, staffing, DJ, florist, photography, officiant, cake, additional rentals, decor upgrades, security, cleanup service, overtime, gratuity, taxes, or any other services not specifically listed above.
Prize is valid only for available July or August 2026 dates provided by The Poet. To be agreed upon together with winner.
Date selection is subject to availability. Prize has no cash value, may not be transferred, and may not be substituted except at the sole discretion of The Poet.
How to Enter: Complete the official entry form during the Promotion Period.
Entrants may also be asked to comment on the giveaway post for visibility, but the official entry form must be completed to be eligible.
Bonus Entries: Entrants may receive one bonus entry by sharing the giveaway post to their Instagram or Facebook story and tagging The Poet during the Promotion Period. Bonus entries must be visible or submitted by screenshot if the entrant’s account is private.
Winner Notification: Winner will be notified by email, phone, or social media message on or around July 16. Winner must respond within 48 hours. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, is found to be ineligible, or cannot accept the prize terms, The Poet may select an alternate winner.
Venue Agreement: Winner must sign The Poet’s standard venue rental agreement and comply with all venue policies, including rules regarding catering, alcohol, decor, cleanup, damages, and event conduct.
Publicity: By entering, entrants agree that The Poet may use their name, submitted story, and general wedding details for giveaway-related promotional purposes. This includes event photography, video, or additional promotional use - and will be shared with and used by all vendors involved.
Taxes and Fees: Winner is responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes, as well as any optional upgrades, add-ons, damages, overtime, or services not included in the prize.
General Conditions: The Poet reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the giveaway if fraud, technical failures, low participation, scheduling conflicts, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper operation of the promotion.
