A Global Tasting Tour in Puyallup: Food & Wine Festival at Watson’s Nursery

I had the pleasure of photographing one of the most delightful local events of the season — The Food & Wine Festival: A Tasting Tour of 5 Wine Regions at Watson’s Nursery in Puyallup, WA.


This sold-out event, hosted in partnership with South Sound Magazine, transformed Watson’s greenhouse into a vibrant tasting tour where guests explored wines and gourmet bites from South Africa, France, Italy, Spain/Portugal, and our own Pacific Northwest.

A Night of Global Flavors


The atmosphere was something special — rows of lush greenery, the glow of soft lights, and the hum of conversation blending with laughter and clinking glasses. Each tasting station was a passport to another region. Winery representatives shared the stories and techniques behind their pours, while Watson’s Terrace Café crafted regionally inspired hors d’oeuvres that complemented each selection beautifully.


From bold, spicy chorizo bites to delicate French tartlets and earthy Pacific Northwest pairings, every detail was designed to transport guests on a sensory journey around the world — all without leaving Puyallup.
