There’s a special kind of magic that happens when music fills an intimate room with Tacoma Arts Live’s Live At The Eleanor, where magic is the point!

Each month, the series transforms The Eleanor—a historic, softly lit space in downtown Tacoma—into a warm gathering place for musicians and listeners who crave connection over spectacle.

This month’s performance featured Champagne Sunday, the powerhouse Tacoma duo known for their joyful energy, emotional honesty, and seamless blend of rock, folk, and soul.

🕯 An Evening of Authentic Sound

Husband-and-wife team Jessi and Jared Fredeen, Champagne Sunday brought the room to life with music that feels like storytelling wrapped in melody. Their chemistry—both musical and personal—fills the air; one moment you’re laughing, the next you’re wiping away a tear.

With their dynamic vocals and expressive guitar work, the pair builds their set like a conversation—equal parts humor, harmony, and heartfelt truth.

The duo’s new song, The Elephant,” stands out. A song about the unspoken things we carry—grief, love, vulnerability—hushes the crowd into stillness before erupting into applause. It’s the kind of song that lingers long after the last chord fades, a reminder of why live music matters.

🌆 A Venue Designed for Connection

Live at The Eleanor is one of Tacoma Arts Live’s most beloved offerings, a monthly series dedicated to intimate, high-caliber performances that spotlight regional and touring musicians in a cozy, acoustic environment.

The setting is deliberately close: candlelight, exposed brick, and an audience seated within arm’s reach of the artists. That intimacy allows the music to breathe—and for Tacoma’s creative community to gather in a space where art feels personal again.

For audiences, it’s more than a concert. It’s an evening of storytelling, connection, and shared emotion—an experience that reflects the heart of Tacoma’s growing arts scene.

💛 Tacoma’s Ongoing Arts Renaissance

From Lemon Sessions to Live at The Eleanor, Tacoma Arts Live continues to champion live performance as a way to bring people together. The organization’s programs amplify diverse voices and highlight the city’s artistic spirit—ensuring that creativity remains a cornerstone of community life in the South Sound.

Events like this remind us that Tacoma’s arts ecosystem isn’t just surviving—it’s thriving. It’s built on

connection, collaboration, and the belief that everyone deserves access to art that moves them.
