There’s nothing like live theater during the holidays — and this winter, Stadium High School’s Theater Department, led by the AMAZING Liz Jacobsen, brought the magic to life with their production of Elf Jr. The Musical. Based on the beloved 2003 Christmas movie Elf, this heartwarming story follows Buddy the Elf, a human raised by Santa’s elves, as he travels from the North Pole to New York City in search of his real father.

The Stadium High cast filled the stage with joy, laughter, and holiday spirit — capturing everything we love about this story: family, belonging, and the magic of believing. From Buddy’s over-the-top enthusiasm to the bustling scenes of the city, each student shined in their role with confidence and heart.

🌟 A True Team Effort

One of the things that makes every theater production so special is that it’s never just about who’s on stage — it’s about the entire team working behind the scenes.

The set design transported the audience from Santa’s Workshop to the streets of New York, thanks to the hard work of student builders and designers who poured hours into every detail. The costume crew brought festive color and personality to every scene — from elves and office workers to Santa himself.

And of course, a huge shoutout to the student orchestra and technical crew for their incredible live music, lighting, and sound. Their precision and passion turned this high school musical into a fully realized stage experience that rivaled professional productions.
